Liqui were fully responsible for the exhibition design of the whole Coffee Masters arena at The London Coffee Festival including consulting on the design style for all surrounding sponsor stands such as Brita and Mahlkönig.
Coffee Masters was hosted for the first time at The London Coffee Festival in 2015 and was expanded upon during 2016. It’s the new fast-paced multi-disciplinary barista competition developed by the team at Allegra in collaboration with Liqui Design and the coffee creative duo DunneFrankowski.
Liqui set out to design an immersive and vibrant environment that would take visitors into the world of Coffee Masters through coherent design. The central Coffee Masters bar was designed to be easily accessible for all competitors and stand out as the main attraction point. This was further reinforced with its intelligent use of an ‘S’ shape which enabled each competitor to work in their own space whilst the crowd could enjoy a great view of the show. This was enhanced even further for the 2016 competition with the use of tiered seating designed by the Liqui team.

The bar was designed in collaboration with coffee experts DunneFrankowski to be modular in its construction. This meant that it would be adaptable to its environment allowing it to look impressive in a large open area, but work just as well in a confined space such as the Old Truman Brewery with its low ceiling and concrete pillars. The bars unique ‘S’ shape as well as the cladding means that no viewing angle is excluded, and regardless of its configuration it always looks impressive.
